The Careers Office is run under the supervision of Pro-Rector (Academics), Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmed Khalid. Dr. Muhammad Asim Farooqi Coordinator Open House & Careers Fair is Officer Incharge of this office and he is responsible for remaining in contact with national / multinational companies through out the year for seeking job opportunities, internship and sponsorship of the events if possible.
The office mainly serves the following purposes:
- The office is used for advising the students
- Information on various companies is available from the Careers Office
- The office serves as a bridge between the perspective employers and students
- The office helps the students in the preparation of their CV
- The office helps in finding internships for the students
| Open house |
This office is responsible for the arrangement of the Open House GIKI. This is a representation competition where the graduating batch presents a demonstration of their Final Year Projects. A sizeable industrial contingent is always present to observe and take benefit of the projects. It acts as a major catalyst for the industrial and institute partnership. Interviews of the potential candidates and hiring for some are also done on the same day.

Internships |
The Careers Office is also responsible for arranging the internships for the junior year students. These internships are arranged in different industrial centers of the country as well as abroad. This opportunity is used by the students to supplement their technical knowledge, to interface with the industry and to have hands-on experience.
