The importance of research and technology in the present times
can hardly be over emphasized. It has got tremendous potential
as a source of income and prosperity to our country. In this
regard, IET GIKI Student Chapter is organizing All-Pakistan
Electrical Engineering Conference (APEEC) 2009 in collaboration
with IET PAKISTAN in order to encourage the efforts put forward
towards the growth of research and technology. This conference
will cover topics from many different disciplines of
technological research. Student genii from all over Pakistan
will be presenting their efforts in the form of technical
papers.
Speed Wiring Competition is also a significant feature of
this event. During this competition, different design and
application problems will be given in accordance with the
difficulty level of the students from first three years of
Undergraduate studies. The design problems for the competition
are related to Digital Logic Design, Circuit Analysis,
Electronics and Microprocessor Interfacing.
A Conceive and Implement Competition (CIC) is also the
part of All Pakistan Electrical Engineering Conference (APEEC) 2009. This
competition features a 'real-world' problem that can be solved
from either electronic or software approach. In Matrix
programming competition a set of problems to be solved using
MATLAB will be given to the competitors.
A Project competition and exhibition is also the part of
All Pakistan Electrical Engineering Conference (APEEC) 2009. The
purpose behind this project competition is to provide the
students of Pakistan a chance to display their self designed and
application oriented projects in a good competitive environment.

History
The All Pakistan Electrical Engineering Conference is an initiative in the same direction. IET GIKI
aspires to promote excellence in engineering sciences and technology. APEEC strives to attract
engineers of outstanding talent and ability to provide them a supporting and enabling competitive
environment where they can reinforce their technical skills. APEEC hopes to discover talent who
distinguish themselves by their professional outlook, humanistic outlook and ethical rectitude and
pragmatic approach to problem solving. APEEC aspires to discover talent that is able and ready to
respond to the needs of Pakistan and other countries and be the vanguard of their techno-industrial
transformation.
Pakistan is on the threshold of a major breakthrough in the techno-industrial fields and needs
professionals with ability and vision to lead the way. APEEC aims at promoting competition, initiative
and decision making in our participants to build up a strong base of research and technology. We
strive to promote individuals who can upgrade existing technological activities and in whom
professional excellence is inseparable from a commitment to our ideals.
The pioneers of All Pakistan Electrical Engineering Conference were conscious of the fact that
despite of all the idealism one may have, possibility of negative growth exists, and hence toot the
failure to live up to the ideals which inspired the creation in the first place. APEEC organizers have
therefore taken great care to build monitoring devices to maintain the conference's standards. This
includes an Advisory Board headed by the Dean of Faculty of Electronics Engineering, which has
taken up the task of keeping the conference up to all necessary required standards in terms of the
quality of competitive fairness, research paper standards in addition to others.
Many of APEEC participants have already distinguished themselves in the academics, research,
business and management.
