Engr. Shams ul Mulk, President of Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology (SOPREST) in Pakistan announced that GIK Institute has named Administration Block as H. U. Beg Administration Block and the Central Workshop Complex as Brabers Building.

 

Late Mr H U Beg was the first Executive Director of SOPREST and late Prof. Dr Martin J. Brabers was the first Rector of the Institute. The buildings were named after them to commemorate and perpetuate their memory in recognition of meritorious services rendered by them for strengthening GIK Institute in its formative phase.
