Announcement was made for the selection of students. Applications from 6 candidates were received and the following 4 students were short listed and interviewed.

Out of 4 students a student at Sr. No. 1 was advised to start working right now. Student at Sr. No. 2 was recommended and was decided that he will start working in fall semester and based on his satisfactory performance he will be inducted in the Computational Mechanics Program. Student at Sr. No. 4 was recommended to talk to Dr Ashfaq Khokhar for consideration during his visit to GIKI in early August 2006.
As there is a provision of 4 students so 1-3 more students can be inducted and announcement will be made encouraging female and minority candidates to apply.
